I have heard about Paikka for a few years now, so when I decided I needed a wind and water-proof suit for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, I went to their website to have a look.
Most other wind and rain gear that you can buy for dogs, only covers the back - but I don't get it, the back is the very least of my problems when it rains. My dog gets so dirty and wet on her legs and belly when it rains, that it sometimes is impossible for me to get her to go pee. It's the bottom part of my dog that I want to protect from rain (and dirt) not her back.
When I looked at Paikka's site, I saw so many positive reviews from dog owners about their gear, but all of the ones I saw, were for bigger dogs - until I saw pictures and a review from another Cavalier King Charles Spaniel owner. That sold it to me and today I finally remembered to take pictures while we were on a walk.
The best part of the suit is, for me at least, that the ties around the legs, are easy to ajust, so even if your dog have short legs, she will not step in the legs of the suit. I also love the band that goes around her belly, because you can pull it back, so it covers even more of the belly, when you have a female dog, which means she is almost 100% dry when she gets back inside.
We live by the sea in Denmark, so it is often very windy and it keeps my dog warm and dry. 100% recommendations from here.

Beautiful coat, unfortunately back length dos not determine the size for smaller dogs - weight needs to be included. I chose the correct back length but all around its just too big for a 3kg chihuahua. Disappointing

Mit diesem schönen Regenmantel von euch kann Seppo jetzt auch bei nassem Wetter draußen seine Runde genießen ohne komplett durchnässt zu sein. Und das Beste, ich muss ihn anschließend nicht stundenlang föhnen, auch seine Beine sind nicht so nass und schmutzig.
Seppi ist ein Kleinpudel, trocken ohne Föhn dauert fast den ganzen Tag 🧐

Dieser Regenoverall übertrifft all meine Erwartungen! Dünnes, angenehmes Material, raschelt nicht beim Spazieren, man kann ihn bei den Füssen mit Klettverschluss fixieren… Ausserdem ist er an vielen anderen Stellen auch verstellbar und so auf die Masse des Hundes anpassbar. Meine Hündin mag eigentlich keine Mäntel, spaziert aber tiptop in diesem Overall. Er stört sie überhaupt nicht. Wenn wir vom Regenspaziergang nach Hause kommen, müssen wir nur den Kopf und die Route abtrocknen und die Füsse putzen! Wunderbar!
