Find the perfect size
Finding the ideal fit for your dog can sometimes be a puzzling task. Our sizing guide is here to help and ensure that your pet is not only fashionable but also comfortable.
Back measurement
Begin by measuring the length of your dog's back. This is the most important measurement. Place the measuring tape at the base of your dog's neck, between the withers, and measure to the base of the tail. The back length can be adjusted up to 5 cm shorter.
Belt measurement
Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog's chest. The dimensions indicated on the size charts represent the maximum adjustment.
Neck measurement
Gently wrap your measuring tape around the dog’s neck, where a collar would typically sit. Ensure it’s not too tight during measurement. The dimensions indicated on the size charts represent the maximum adjustment.
Fitting the coat
- Adjust the coat to fit your dog's back length. The coat should reach just above your dog's tail.
- Adjust the orange neck strap until it reaches the appropriate tightness.
- Adjust the belt strap to encircle your dog's chest area and secure the buckle.
- The leg straps can be adjusted as well.
- The black neck hood can be adjusted as well.
Important notes
- Keep in mind that every PAIKKA product has its own sizing. Refer to the size chart on the product pages for guidance.
Choose the right size based on your dog's body type:
For dogs with a balanced body type, use the back length in the size chart (e.g. back length 50 cm is size 50).
- For slender dogs, in addition to back measurement, check the size chart for the minimum dimensions of the belt.
- For heavier and broad-chested dogs, in addition to the back measurement, check the size chart for the maximum dimensions of neckline and belt.
The back length can be adjusted up to 5 cm shorter.
